SPACESHIP EARTH
TERRA SHIP SLIP · LIVE ROTATION ↔ ORBIT RELATIONSHIP · ACTIVE PHYSICAL CARRIER · READ ONLY
The qualified active physical RAW carrier supplies the current execution pace through the qualified external-physical mapping into the Core20 internal domain. Mintaka witnesses Earth axial rotation and Sol witnesses orbital angular advance. Terra Ship Slip remains a downstream read-only relationship instrument and has no upstream authority write path.
TERRA SHIP SLIP V2 · LIVE RELATIVE PHASE
HOW FAR THE AXIAL-ROTATION RETURN AND SUN-RETURN HAVE SLIPPED RELATIVE TO ONE ANOTHER
Terra rotates against the stellar reference while simultaneously advancing around Sol. Those two returns do not close together. This counter shows their accumulated angular separation.
Left edge is 000₈ / 777₈ and right edge is 400₈. The front half runs 000₈ → 200₈ → 400₈ left to right. The backside returns 400₈ → 600₈ → 777₈ → 000₈ right to left. Ship V2 was born at 600₈ exact. The marker is not accelerated.
Terra rotates while Terra simultaneously advances around Sol. The stellar axial return and the solar return therefore do not close at the same instant. A8 calls that rotation / orbit mismatch Terra Ship Slip.
The astronomical motions are not new. What A8 adds here is one A8 ruler, preserved raw relationship evidence and a visible machine showing the relationship in A8 time, A8 angle and A8 rates.
FULL AXIAL TURN
ORBITAL ADVANCE
SUN CLOSURE
WHAT 512 − 1 = 511 MEANS
Start with Terra at one orientation relative to the stars and Sol. Terra then rotates, but Terra is not sitting still while it rotates: the entire planet is simultaneously advancing around Sol. Terra Ship Slip is the A8 expression of that rotation / orbit mismatch.
DATA NOTE: The 1 A8 orbital advance and 511 A8 Sun closure figures above are retained Core20 relationship values used by this explanatory model. The live instrument reads current relationship and lifetime data from Core20 while the active carrier supplies the qualified external physical primary pace. The moving outside-view graphic is an explanatory simulation only; its browser animation speed does not define A8 time, angle, raw count or rate.
SIMULATION NOTICE: the moving Terra graphic is an accelerated explanatory simulation. Browser animation speed is not A8 time, does not advance raw count, does not accumulate Terra Ship Slip and has no Core20 authority. The instrument values above are read-only downstream data; the active physical carrier supplies the current pace.
OUTSIDE LOOKING IN · GALACTIC CONTEXT
We observe from inside the Solar System and inside the Milky Way. Face-on and outside-the-galaxy views are therefore reconstructed simulations built from astronomical observations and models. They are useful visualization, not a camera placed outside the Galaxy.
The Solar System itself moves around the Galactic centre. That larger motion is mainstream astronomical context; it is not currently part of the defining Terra Ship Slip authority chain shown on this page.
ESA / GAIA · OUTSIDE-VIEW SIMULATION
External media loads only after PLAY is selected. ESA/Gaia visualization is contextual reference only and has no A8 authority.
OBSERVATORY REFERENCE · CONVERTED TO A8
The motion shown above is established astronomy. These values use published mean Earth rotation and orbital reference data, then express the same physical relationship on the A8 full-turn ruler.
Published mean reference: JPL Solar System Dynamics lists a mean sidereal day of 86164.09054 legacy seconds and a sidereal year of 365.25636 legacy days. Those legacy quantities are used here only as published source coordinates from which the relationship is converted to the native 512-A8 angular ruler.
A8 RULER KEY
A8/45 is an ordinary rung on the sealed binary length ladder: exactly 16 A8 NAV. Legacy speed comparisons are secondary and are not used by the live Terra Ship Slip instrument.
Read-only relationship derived from current Core20 state.
Retained downstream observer-event accumulator; not the physical pace source.
No clock, Mintaka, Sol, relationship, or authority write path.
Accumulated downstream angle modulo native 512 turn.
Same-rotation Sol updates add zero slip.
Retained accumulator wiring

The qualified active physical RAW carrier supplies the current execution pace. Core20 retains its mapped internal coordinate and recovered relationship machinery. Terra Ship Slip reads that downstream state; it does not select the physical source and it does not write upstream authority.
